In the first half, our Grenadiers showed their desire to impose themselves but were unable to materialize on 11 occasions and were surprised in the 28th minute by a goal from Gerald Dias, who took advantage of a disorganized Haitian defense, allowing Puerto Rico to lead [1-0]. The score was unchanged at half-time.

Back from the locker room, after judicious tactical changes by the French coach (bringing on Duckens Nazon and Deedson Louicius to energize the attack), our Grenadiers quickly restored the balance after a frustrating first half... In the first minutes, Danley Jean Jacques equalized in the 50th minute [1-1] before Frantzdy Pierrot gave Haiti the lead with a goal in the 59th minute [1-2]. Don Deedson Louicius widened the gap for Haiti by scoring a goal in the 76th minute [1-3] and Duckens Nazon crowned the victory by scoring the last goal in the 83rd minute (1-4).
